The Rural Living Show

The Rural Living Show has been based at The King’s College Prep School (formerly known as King’s Hall School) in Taunton for many, many years. A beautiful building, with breathtaking grounds to admire, King’s Hall School is the perfect setting for The Rural Living Show. There is plentiful FREE on site parking, plus an overflow shuttle service from Wellsprings Leisure Centre making visiting the show simple for the thousands of visitors across the weekend.

Accessibility: An accessibility route is indicated on the floor plan in green.

However please note - King’s College Prep School is an old building and due to the school’s risk assessment, some small areas of the show are unfortunately not accessible without using steps.

There will be an accessible toilet facility for the duration of the event. The location of this is indicated by the WC icon in green on the floor plan.

About King’s College Prep School

King’s College Prep is a leading pre-prep and prep school for girls and boys aged 2-13, with around 320 pupils. Set in a beautiful countryside location surrounded by farmland, the school is only a couple of minutes' drive from the centre of Taunton.

We respect traditional values, and boarding is a strong feature which contributes to the family atmosphere that exists within the school. Children enjoy a challenging all-round education in a progressive and stimulating environment. Each year, we have an impressive number of children who gain scholarships for academia, sport, art, drama, music and design technology, and this is assisted by the quality of our facilities.

Learning Environment

The School benefits from a tiered seating Arts Centre; specialist design technology and art rooms; fully equipped science faculty; ten tennis courts (including six astro courts); specialist libraries in both prep and pre-prep; individual music practice rooms; a dedicated Sports Hall; heated outdoor swimming pool; IT suite equipped with 50 networked computers and interactive whiteboards, and 50 acres of sports fields and woodlands.

“A place where children can mature at their own pace, enjoy their surroundings, have a lot of fun and know they will be ready for their next school.”
