THE RURAL LIVING SHOW 2023

We can hardly believe it ourselves! The 2023 show saw The Rural Living Show celebrating it’s 30th birthday and what a show it was!

The frost over King’s College Prep school, may have been a bit chilly, but what a beautiful sight it was, setting the scene perfectly for another magical event.

Over 2700 visitors came to enjoy the delights from a whopping total of 113 exhibitors, and there was even the opportunity to book onto a festive wreath making workshop run by Loollabells Floristry which was a huge success. The craft grotto moved inside and saw lots of families take advantage of the free activities on offer. Ever popular with visitors of all ages were the Alpha Alpacas.

A special thanks goes to Wellsprings Leisure Centre - who provided the overflow carpark for our shuttle service to enhance the customer experience.

It was also great fun having the wonderful Tone FM broadcast live on the the Saturday morning and conducting interviews with lots of exhibitors - see the behind the scenes shot of our brand new business owner Jake of Cheesy Mac Surf Shack and Paul Tuck of Exmoor Baskets and Hurdles who has shown at all 30 Rural Living Shows!!

The Rural Living Show 2023 continued to raise money for our designated charity partner - The Children’s Hospice South West, with the addition of a new RLS stand run by some younger members of the team - selling festive head wear and commemorative tote bags with a donation from every sale going to the charity.

We are always looking for new independent businesses to join us, so if you would love to be part of RLS24 please apply today!

WOW WOW WOW!

What a show we had in 2022 - thank you to all of those that visited (over 2500 of you), and all of the wonderful exhibitors that took part.

With over 100 stands showcasing the best artisans and producers the South West had to offer, Somerset’s much loved annual Christmas market and craft fair ‘The Rural Living Show’ was a huge success.

For our 29th show, we had some new additions in the form of a food and drink village and courses, workshops and activities. Visitors to the show were able to take part in an Early Winter Foraging course run by UK Wild Adventures where participants learnt all about the plants around King’s Hall School - their uses and history. There were also Textile Craft Workshops in the form of drop in sessions run by Sew Together with Charlotte to make a range of festive items to take away.

For our younger guests a FREE festive trail around the show was hugely popular, ending with a stop at our ‘Christmas Craft Grotto’ to decorate their own bunting & collect a prize.

The University Centre Somerset also showcased the work of their Creative Arts degree students and had activities for visitors to get creative themselves!

A real highlight was the chance to meet Colmer, Solo and Orion from Alpha Alpacas within the food village.

We are thrilled to announce that The Rural Living Show 2022 supported our long standing charity partner - The Children’s Hospice Southwest and we look forward to raising more vital funds in 2023.
